You may have heard that drought in Brazil and other places in the coffee belt, including Ethiopia, as well as higher demand from emerging economies such as India have led to a 60% increase in the price of coffee on the commodity markets since the beginning of the year. It is estimated that just the drought in Brazil will lead to a shortfall of 7 million sacks of coffee this year.
Unfortunately, this means a lot of roasters will be putting their prices up. We at the House of Coffee will try our best not to. Through our strong relationships with farmers and cooperatives, as well as the rest of the supply chain, we are ensuring that the beans we secure for you are at the best possible price so we can shield you from unpredictable price hikes.
We are committed to providing you with any relevant information as soon as it becomes available to us, but if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to answer.
