Sustainable Packaging

Sustainable/eco friendly packaging is one of our key areas of concern. Some of the initiatives that we have taken to date are shown in this picture and include:
A wooden crate for local restaurant deliveries, recycled shredded cardboard used for filler packing, gummed paper, ink stamps instead of stickers, compostable coffee bags and some gift set ‘zig-zag’ packing material made from the paper element of thrown away coffee cups.
We are developing ideas for our treatment of the waste that comes into our business and also for some of the waste that is a by-product of roasting.
